The lectures published in this volume were presented in the Rudolf Chaudoire Pavilion at Dortmund University on 9 December 2011 and address the art of urban planning. In the form of new insights into the art of urban planning from English-speaking countries, they are summarised under the programmatic title of “New Civic Art”.
