TRAFFIC CONCEPT FOR FRANKFURT CITY CENTER
The German Institute for Urban Design published a proposal by Prof. Christoph Mäckler for a new traffic concept for downtown Frankfurt, which was developed together with a regional traffic planning office. Among other things, the concept demonstrates how the car-oriented city is destroying the urban beauty of the city. Calmed city streets should be able to be traveled in two directions in the future, with wide sidewalks and separate bike lanes. The FAZ reports.
