We established our architecture and urban planning studio in Frankfurt back in 1981. Only a few years after those modest beginnings, the practice had evolved into a leading architecture and urban studio known well beyond the borders of Frankfurt.
Nowadays, a staff of about 70 plans and designs buildings for municipal, commercial and private clients throughout Germany. Some members of the team focus specifically on urban planning projects, studies and research. Our list of completed projects includes numerous structures of national importance.
To match current demands, the work of the practice is now split between five companies: MÄCKLER ARCHITEKTEN, CHM AIRPORT PLANUNG, CHM BAUMANAGEMENT, CHM GENERALPLANUNG and CHRISTOPH MÄCKLER ARCHITEKTEN (as originally founded in 1981).
2016 Founding of MÄCKLER ARCHITEKTEN GmbH with Prof. Christoph Mäckler as sole owner. The managing directors are Prof. Christoph Mäckler and Claudia Gruchow (both are entitled to represent the practice) plus Mischa Bosch, Sven Pohl and Christiane Will .
2021 Founding of CHM AIRPORT PLANUNG GmbH with Prof. Christoph Mäckler as sole owner. The managing directors are Christoph Mäckler, Claudia Gruchow, Michael Baumgarten, Dieter Hassinger, Henry Hess and Sven Pohl.
2024 Founding of CHM BAUMANAGEMENT GmbH with Prof. Christoph Mäckler as sole owner. The managing directors are Christoph Mäckler, Sven Pohl, Claudia Gruchow, Mischa Bosch and Christiane Will.
2016 Founding of CHM GENERALPLANUNG GmbH with Prof. Christoph Mäckler as sole owner. The managing directors are Christoph Mäckler and Claudia Gruchow. Mischa Bosch is authorizied signatory.
1981 Founding of CHRISTOPH MÄCKLER ARCHITEKTEN. Claudia Gruchow became a partner in 2001, Thomas Mayer in 2002 and Mischa Bosch in 2009. Since 2016 all new projects and commissions are carried out by MÄCKLERARCHITEKTEN GmbH.
